About Us

We're passionate about helping people live healthily and happily. We know life can be challenging at times, especially in recent times with the various crises hitting hardworking families, so we're organising several events and activities in conjunction with the Commonwealth Games.

Commonwealth Games 2022

Those competing in the Games are at the peak of their physical health. While we may not participate in the various competitions, we can also experience good health. Throughout the Commonwealth Games, we're organising several events across the north of England to support individuals' wellbeing. Hence the twist in our name, Commonwealth Health. You're invited to attend any and all the free events.

What to expect

As Christians, we're passionate about God and learning about Him through the Bible. Our Churches are culturally diverse, with attendees representing countries from across the world. Most churches organise several services and activities on a weekly basis, including the two main services on a Saturday morning, an activity club for children and teenagers called Adventurers and Pathfinders, and free lunches. Whilst we're united under the Adventist Church umbrella, you'll notice that each Church is unique with its own identity. These are the average service times for our Saturday morning services, which may vary slightly between Churches:

  • Bible Study: 10am – 11am
  • Main Service: 11:30am – 1:00pm

Should you have any questions about a Church before visiting, email info@commonwealthhealth.co.uk.

Summary of beliefs

As a Christian community, Seventh-day Adventists are committed to living the principles of the Kingdom of God. As a culturally diverse group of Christians, our first duty is to love God and all people. In our churches, you can expect to find love, warmth, friendship and acceptance. Our members are empowered to share the message of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, rose from the grave, and will return again. Here are the core beliefs of our Church:

  • Bible. The Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God. The Scriptures are the infallible revelation of God's will.
  • God. There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons usually called the Trinity. We're called to love and worship God and orient our life around Him.
  • Commandments. The Ten Commandments were exemplified in the life of Jesus. They express God's love, will, and purposes concerning human conduct and relationships. Salvation is all of grace and not of works. The Commandments are a template for a life with Jesus.
  • Sabbath. Saturday is observed as the day of rest and worship in harmony with the teaching and practice of Jesus. We joyfully observe this time as a celebration of God's redemption.
